What is the cost?
NOTRA works tirelessly at our fundraising so that we are able to provide our lessons at the substantially subsidized rate of $16.50 each, which includes your annual memberships to NOTRA and O'Keefe Ranch.
The actual cost to NOTRA to provide lessons is $60 each ... which some of our riders generously pay if they are able to.
*NOTRA's fundraisers subsidize more than two thirds of the cost to our riders which is why active participation in our fundraising efforts benefits you, the rider, by keeping the cost to a minimum.
When can I ride?
NOTRA offers two riding sessions per year ...
SPRING 2010 – April 12th to June 4th, 2010

NEW SCHOOL DISTRICT #22 STUDENT TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
As of Spring Session 2009, NOTRA is now offering a pick up and drop off program to schools in the Vernon District.
Thanks to the generosity of the Knights of Columbus, the Vernon Legion, volunteer drivers and volunteer bus monitors, students from the Vernon schools (whose disabilities are within the parameters of what can be handled by our volunteers) are able to continue riding in the program.
Download Parent / Caregiver permission
*Groups of 4 students maximum are picked up from their schools, brought to O'Keefe Ranch for their 45 minute lesson and returned to their school.
To qualify, the student's disability must not exceed what can be expected of a volunteer to manage (ie: severe behavioural issues or medical conditions that require experienced persons to handle such as seizure disorders). The passenger van is also not equipped for wheelchair access.
Parents of children who disabilities are outside of what NOTRA's transportation program can offer are encouraged to bring their children during school hours with the full cooperation of the School District.
Contact our Program Coordinator, Dani Goldenthal (ph: 250-549-0105 or notra@telus.net), for more information.
